This story was written for use at Camp Pyoca, a Presbyterian Church Camp in Indiana. It is written in five chapters which were used over a five day period. Groups of campers discussed each chapter. This story can be used in similar situations.

Gaius (Guy) and Miriam (Miri), father Zebediah (Zeb, father), mother was Helen (Greek), died just after Miri was born. Father had met Helen in Ephesus on a trip and stayed. QUESTIONS for discussion. These are a starting point. Do not limit yourself to only these questions. Use them for a starting point to develop discussion. Guy and Miri do not know about Jesus until the last chapter.
(1) Have you ever moved? How did you feel? What helped you? What kind of people lived in Ephesus? In your home town?
(2) Who do you think the bearded man might have been? The young couple? How do you think you would feel if you were Guy or Miri?
(3) Have you ever been on a big ship? A small boat? How would you like to spend a week on Guy and Miri's ship?
(4) Have you ever been a bad storm? Were you scared? What helped you feel better?
