This was our only tender day. The tour was a day of
superb sightseeing along the French Riviera, driving by way of the lower
Corniche with its superb views. Entered the resort city of Nice along
the beautiful palm-laced Promenade de Anglais with a stop at the old
city. We walked through the market with lovely flowers, fruits, and
vegetables. We went over beach and were surprised that it was round
stones. T'Karri & I
had some fun with some of the vendors and other tourists. We especially
had fun with two Frenchmen in one store. T'Karri laid an egg and I used
the squeaker. |

The next
destination was the village of Eze, perched on a craggy peak above the
Mediterranean. We strolled its steep, narrow stone streets. This was
very lovely. We had a delicious luncheon will be served at a local
restaurant. This is one of our favorites of the cruise. |

Next, we drove to Monaco. Escalators and
elevators transported us to the top of the Rock, for a walking tour past
the Oceanographic Museum, the Prince's Palace and the Cathedral. Monaco
is unbelievably crowded. They here built on every conceivable square
inch. Tunnels burrow into the rock. T'Karri & I had fun with
people in both France & Monaco.

We followed the Grand Prix Circuit to the Monte Carlo Grand Casino, surrounded by immaculate gardens. We saw the Hotel de Paris and got a Ice to drink. The crowds around Monte Carlo were especially dense. We entertained some Japanese tourists there. |
