Did you ever wonder how animations are made?

Animations are just a series of still pictures viewed one after another at a fast rate so they appear to be moving. Animated cartoons in the movies and on TV are made up of many thousands of drawings. Animated graphics that I use in my web site are made up of fewer drawings, mostly from two to maybe a dozen. On this page I have put some animated drawings that are made up of just two drawings.

First is the little waving drawing of me that I use on my web pages for links. Two drawing, each with an arm in a different position are used to form one animated drawing.

Two Drawing Animations

Below I have some two drawing animations. If you pass the mouse pointer over each animation you will see the second drawing. Passing it backand forth will animate the drawing. (Note: You may have to wait a minute the first time and this may not work with older browsers.)

If these worked for you pass your mouse over the title on the "Fun Activities" page.

Thanks to Grayson for the idea for this page....
