General: Gentlemen. We have a potentially serious situation on
our hands. The colonies at Zinnbeth appear to have been attacked. The
last message from them indicated that some kind of attack had taken
place.
Captain Denzin: I'm Captain Denzin of the Intrepid. Could it
be some kind of a civil war?
General: It is possible but we don't think so. We suspect it
is from outside.
General: Zinnbeth is basically an agricultural world. The
colonists wanted a simple rural life, however they did have modern
technology and maintained commerce with the rest of the galaxy. A civil
type war just doesn't fit their character. It should be a peaceful
world. there are some 50 to 60 thousand colonists there.
Captain Krinn: I'm Captain Krinn of the D'Tau. I can't
believe that anyone in the galaxy would attack a colony world like
that.
General: Neither do we Captain Krinn. We think that it is
possibly from outside the galaxy.
