Bob's Characters

*Granpa*	Grandpa Grandpa Dickens came to live with us in September 1997 from Aldebaran 4. I had been encouraging him to come. Grandpa and I have a very special relationship. When I was just a little dragon, his grandpa and I did many things together. In fact he was the one that named me Drango when I was born. His father was named Drango and he wanted his grandson to carry on the name. Dickens was an author in his younger days. He wrote a number of books and magazine articles. His books include "Oliver Bent", "Great Aspirations", and his famous "An Easter Carol" with Ebenezer Dragon. Top of page
A vision of loveliness	Narda Nardles On her birthday (January 4th Earth date) she decided to visit me. She had so much fun that she decided to stay and sometimes joins us in shows. Narda is a bit shy but still strong willed. She considers herself a fashion trend setter. Some consider her to be over the top in fashion but Narda claims that what she wears use very stylish on Aldebaran 4. She is a legend in her own mind. Narda enjoys meeting people and finds them them interesting. She also enjoys helping Bob on the computer. Bob has no comment on this Top of page
A Troll Dragon	Krag Lotek Krag is a Troll Dragon from Aldebaran 4 the same as Drango. Both are dragons but different races with Krag being a Troll Dragon. He lived on the Isle of Sark in the North Sea of Mists. Troll Dragons are larger than Dragons like me and they have lost their wings and tails many generations ago. The Isle of Sark is much colder than where I live. My grandpa knew Krag when he was a young journalist. He had visited Krag and they became friends. Krag lived alone and they kept in touch. When I was young my grandpa used to take me on vacation to stay with Krag at his cabin. We always told him he should come and live with us. One day Krag decided he would and went looking for my Grandpa and me. He tracked us all the way to Earth and now lives with us. Top of page
Algi dreaming of a warm tropical beach	Alginon G. Frog Alginon G. Frog (Algi) came from the "Last Hope Swamp" on Aldebaran 4 (You wouldn't expect a blue eyed frog that talks to be from Earth would you?). Although he grew up in the swamp with its gloom and rain, Algi always dreamed of relaxing with the "good life" in the warm tropics on the beach. We can't exactly give him the beach but he has adapted well to the Midwest and Indiana. Still he does enjoy a good rain, especially sitting in a puddle with rain falling on his head! There are a few adjustments he is finding hard though. His favorite meal is flies which is all right with us, but Bob keeps warning him not to try to catch flies on fly paper! Alginon is retired due to health reasons. Top of page
Squawk and friends on the Plains of Llith	Squawk Squawk is an Aldebaran Buzzard. She lived on the Plains of Llith not too far from the city of Envisage where I'm from. She is smart for a bird, although a bit "out of control", as is often shown when she joins us during a show. Her favorite meal is roadkill which grosses most people out. Bob is trying, with limited success, to change her diet to something more socially acceptable! Top of page
Wellington Opossum	Wellington O Possum Wellington claims to be from Mississippi here in the USA but we have never heard of a talking possum. Oh well, since we can't prove otherwise we'll accept his story. Wellington is a bit slow and sometimes forgetful but always lovable. He is a Roads Scholar (Possums that aren't end up as Road Kill). He claims to be Irish (because of the "O") since he attended Notre Dame (He actually lived in the woods just off campus.) He often goes by Cecil. You'll have to ask him why. Top of page
T'Karri	T'Karri T’Karri is a Scops White Faced Owl. Her name means “from Kar” in the ancient language of Kar because she is from the planet Kar. Kar is also called the Wizard’s Planet because in ancient days it was believed Wizards lived there. Today people know there are no real Wizards and the planet has a thriving economy. Once a year, at the time of the ancient Earth holiday Halloween, the only remaining Wizard’s Castle is the site of a Storytelling and Magic Festival. Drango attended this festival. Originally her species was exported from Earth to Kar. T’Karri was brought to Earth by Drango and, according to him, belonged to a famous Wizard/Magician there. She does seem to be at home on stage or walk-arounds with Bob doing magic. She loves to sit on Bob's shoulder when Bob does magic. Since her ancestors migrated from Earth, T’Karri is very much like the Scops White Faced Owl of Southern Africa on Earth. Click on pix for T'Karri's web site. Top of page
